"Abstraction has a very concrete memory."

Nadežda Stanković is a Serbian-born visual artist and architect based in Mexico City.

Her large-format paintings explore the invisible architecture of time — the weight of what is not said, the presence of what remains. Working with cement, pigment, paper, and carved gestures, she builds layered surfaces that feel both ancient and sharply contemporary.

After more than a decade in international architectural practice (Moscow, Amsterdam, Istanbul), she left the field to fully devote herself to art. Her practice is guided by discipline, silence, and ritual — producing works that speak to collectors, curators, and designers who seek depth, structure, and emotion in equal measure.

Her pieces have been acquired across Europe, Mexico, and the United States, and are increasingly sought after for high-end interiors and curated institutional contexts.

She is currently developing collections for global art fairs, site-specific installations, and long-term representation in the international art market.
