Material, gesture, and time converge
into physical traces of presence.

Nadežda Stanković is a Serbian-born visual artist with a Master’s degree in Architecture.
Her practice begins from understanding space as both a physical and psychological structure — a place where time leaves measurable impact.

Growing up in an environment shaped by historical rupture influenced her relationship to material, duration and the pressure of transience. Rather than constructing new forms, her work examines what remains after time acts — within surface, matter and human presence.

She lived and worked in Serbia, Moscow, Istanbul and Amsterdam, before continuing her practice between Europe and Mexico. These experiences shaped her understanding of material density, light and the way space affects human presence.

Before fully dedicating herself to art, she worked on international projects and led regional teams. This experience deepened her understanding of systems, structure and the relationship between space, people and time — themes she now explores through material works and spatial interventions.

Her practice includes layered material works and installations that treat surface as a field of force, resistance and trace.

Her work does not explain time.
It shows that time acts — as a physical force shaping space and the human body.
